Part 3 of The Journey Home, entitled “Road to Recovery”, explores the experience of family members finding the road to recovery for their loved, for themselves and for the whole family. Self-care for family members, acceptance & patience, balance and resilience are key aspects of making it through the “marathon” that mental health recovery can often ask families to undertake. The good news is – families get there, not unmarked, but often with new understanding, skills and perspectives. And of course, we end our film by being able to thank the MANY family members, supporters and contributors that made this project possible!
